TOURISM IN THE JADE EMPIRE
The Jade Empire has a streamlined visa system, combined with a free travel arrangement with its close allies, that means tourism is a healthy and important part of the Imperial economy. The Jade Empire has a range of attractions catering to every desire, and its mix of different cultures and heritages means that even domestic tourism is a major factor for the economy of many regions of the Jade Empire.
CUISINE
Ingenious cuisine relies on herbs, sauces and seasoning to infuse seafood, vegetables, rice and occasional red meats with a variety of flavours. Teppanyaki chefs are a performance art in and of themselves, whilst highly ritualised cha ceremonies combine with street vendors and eccentric candy manufacturers to create a food experience that goes beyond taste.
Suedians and Sattrans are famed for their hearty meats, fine cheeses and outstanding alcohols. Sattran whisky is shipped internationally, whilst Suedian reds are a popular evening drink across the Jade Empire. The Mediolanni excel at buffet-style foods, with artisanal pizzas, rich pastas, tapas bars and light salads being popular at high-end restaurants, whilst comfort-food style pizza chains such as Marino's Munificence have achieved significant success.

NATURE
The Valknut Pass in the Suebi Mountains
There is a wide variety of natural attractions in the Jade Empire. The Dragonspire mountains in Ingen Province are popular with extreme mountain climbers due to their scale and difficulty level, whilst the Suebi mountains on Neusattar are a popular hiking, camping and family holiday destination.
Coastal resorts and wildlife parks, such as the Bamboo Bay coastline on Legacy and the Kyoryu Wildlife Preserve on Laptev, are also major draws. The Kyoryu Wildlife Park boasts several dozen resurrected species of prehistoric reptilians and mammalian life. Well-funded and extensive zoological gardens are common attractions in the Jade Empire, strictly regulated to comply with animal welfare legislation and subject to oversight by the Imperial Ministry for Natural Harmony, which ensures the protection and preservation of endangered species.
Oceanic whale-watching tours are also a popular pastime in the Jade Empire, with the Great Grey Whale being the largest known animal to have existed on the planet and the inaccurately named Shang Valley Shark being a remarkably intelligent form of dolphin that can inhabit both freshwater and saltwater. Nature retreats, during which one removes all electronic devices and enjoys a week of peace and quiet in a managed cabin or villa in the countryside, are also popular amongst Imperials and foreigners alike, with foreigners often being persuaded to take part in 'traditional' Ingenious meditation and yoga courses.

Haringoth Castle is a popular tourist attraction, originally built in 1856AT as a late medieval fortification, its excellent defensive location at the head of a mountain valley meant it has never been captured or slighted and is often used a film backdrop. NIGHTLIFE AND ENTERTAINMENT
A bar in downtown Inoshishi
Alcohol is an important part of Jade culture. From rice wine and sake brewed in the Ingenious heartland to whisky and ales in Neusattar, drinking is a communal and societal norm. Even small villages will typically have one bar or public house, whilst big cities have countless pubs, bars, cocktail lounges, nightclubs and more.
Inoshishi is famous for its nightlife, and the Neon Highway is a three-mile strip running through the heart of the downtown city with bars, casinos, takeout food vendors, nightclubs and entertainment venues.
