Jade Marine regiments are considered to be a component of the Imperial Jade Navy. As such, they are attached to IJN fleets, which can typically carry a complement of eight marine regiments. A marine regiment consists of 5 battalions of approximately 1,000 personnel and 200 vehicles each, meaning that a regiment is 5,000 strong and the marine complement of an IJN fleet is 40,000.
Although the regiment is the standard unit of organisation, and political and special forces units are typically attached at this level, field deployment is usually managed in discrete battalions as each battalion is theoretically a self-sustaining unit. The standard battalion composition, along with the composition of its constituent companies and units, is shown below. A typical Jade battalion boasts 91 ground vehicles, 23 attack and transport gunships, and 120 hoverbikes.
Deployment and supply is managed by the Marine's host Fleet. Battalion command companies are responsible for liaising with the IJN on behalf of their subordinate companies. Resupply, troop rotation and evacuation are all handed by naval assets such as the Kankyo IV Orbital Dropship, which can transport an entire battalion along with attendant equipment and vehicles.
