Both Heavy and Light variants are based around an Umi-Tetsu fabric bodysuit. Umi-Tetsu is a durable, lightweight and breathable synthetic fiber with a high tensile strength and resilience to extreme temperatures. Plates of polymer resin are then layered over the top providing high resistance to kinetic and directed energy weapons. Each armour segment is fitted on the inside with centimetre-thick microflexible framework of synthetic lattice which reduces shock impact and blunt trauma. The armour plating is overlaid with a thin layer of vitredur, which acts as an ablative superconductor to a venting pack on the lower back. This permits the Battle Utility Suit to absorb and reduce the damage received from directed energy weapons.
The G-BUS also boasts a small onboard intelligence display which projects onto the interior of the helmet visor. The Visual Enhancement Suite Relay allows access to local Fire Control overlay, communicate with allied forces, access navigational data and mission objectives, and also has IFF capacity as well as low-light, thermal and infrared vision. The suit also has magnetic seals on the soles of the boots to allow operation in zero-gravity situations.

G-BUS HEAVY VARIANT
The G-BUS Heavy variant weighs 12 kg and is easily distinguishable by the full-face visor of its helmet variants. It is heavier and provides more protection at an increased weight cost. It is vacuum-rated and is temperature regulating and insulating. It has an inbuilt short-term oxygen supply and air filter.

G-BUS LIGHT VARIANT
The G-BUS Light variant weighs 8 kg and has a retractable face visor. The primary difference between it and the Heavy variant is that the armour plating is thinner and it is not vacuum rated. G-BUS Light is commonly used for guard, crew and auxiliary duties as opposed to frontline combat.
