SHIN-TI
Shin-Ti is the official sport of the Jade Empire and is the most popular sport by attendance in the country. Shin-Ti is a contact team sport played on ice, usually in a rink, in which two teams of skaters use their sticks to shoot a vulcanized rubber into their opponent's net to score points. The sport is known to be fast-paced and physical, with regulation teams consisting of six players each: one goaltender, and five players who skate up and down the ice trying to take the puck and score a goal against the opposing team.
JADE SHIN-TI LEAGUEThe Shin-Ti industry is worth billions to the Jade economy. The premier league of Shin-Ti is called the Jade Shin-Ti League, founded in 2337AT whilst beneath it are the Provincial and District leagues. There are currently 24 teams in the JSL, including 20 Jade and four foreign teams. The oldest teams are from Ingen District, although many Laptev-based teams originated in other countries and were already playing in the JSL when

their nations were annexed by the Empire. Every year the JSL holds the Katsumoto Cup playoffs, in which the top scoring 16 teams from the fall-spring hockey season compete in a knockout tournament of best-of-seven face-off series. The most recent winners were the Hamtun Hammers, whilst the most playoff wins have been taken by the Seiiki Kaiju, who have won 19 times. The longest 'dynasty', or winning streak, was four cups between 2423-2426 by the Kitai Samurai. There have been a total of 148 cups as of early 2488AT, with the 2435 and 2436 cups suspended due to political instability. The 2365 and 2368 cups were won by the Dunwich Demolishers, a Katasian team which disappeared along with the city of Dunwich during the events of Deep Harvest.
