TAKARA KURIBAYASHI
BIOGRAPHY
Born in 2415 AT, Takara Kuribayashi was the child of the Shogun Tadamichi Kuribayashi and his lifelong friend and consort, Avery Johnson of the J.I.A.N. In her youth Takara was fostered by the powerful Minowara clan, studying a Degree in Economics and Politics and a Master's Degree in History. She was trained and raised as a samurai.
In 2434 AT, when the Trathiran Revolt was instigated, the Shogun summoned Takara to the Jade Palace where he named her the new Shogun, entrusting her to the care of Admiral |
Cornewaille, who led her and other loyalists into Exile aboard the SNV Teotihuacan whilst her father committed seppuku.
For the next month she was the leading light of the Exiles. She petitioned allies on behalf of the Shogunate, resulting in the UPEO destroyer program which provided the Exiles with a new fleet, and directed the Assault on Gau III which stalled Trathiran plans to develop a superweapon. Takara personally led the Storming of the Winter Villa, during which Reichsminister Katzenhaft used infernal Merger Technology to open a gateway to the Corruption in order to prevent Takara from retaking the throne, and a brutal melee ensued in which Takara fought and defeated the Avatar of Crom Dubh.
Takara and her followers executed the remaining members of the short-lived Trathiran Politburo, signalling loyalist units to begin their counter-attack. In conjunction with civilian uprisings, the remnants of the Trathiran Revolt were quickly mopped up. The surviving members of the Shogunate Council acclaimed Takara as divine and, with assistance from the Huoming Temple, the Second Jade Dynasty was declared, with Jade Empress Takara as the ruler of the new Jade Empire.

Jade Empress Takara presided over the Gladius Pace from 2434 AT to 2456 AT, a golden age of prosperity and wealth for the the Jade Empire and Laptev Axis. The Gladius Pace was not in truth a peaceful period, and was defined by constant campaigns of conquest and pacification against smaller powers as the Laptev Axis rapidly expanded its political, economic and cultural influence over FB-1.
The Gladius Pace came to an end in 2456 AT when war broke out between the Barlat Concordiat and the Laptev Axis. The war was devastating to the FB-1 region, and although the Axis were victorious, the Merger were able to take advantage of the weakened state of the various regional militaries to launch a vast campaign against all sentient races. By 2466 AT FB-1 had been abandoned to the dark forces of the Merger, with the Laptev System and several other star-states evacuating. In NS-1, Takara oversaw a revised policy of trade and olive branch diplomacy, leading to a renewed alliance with the Pordish Empire and the rejection of aggressive foreign policy. Fighting alongside the Pords at the Battle of Yamsai and in the Legacy War, Takara also mandated the colonisation of the Ancerious Galaxy. DEATHTakara travelled to the Ancerious Galaxy in 2488 AT to see her daughter, Mariko, who had recently been found after being missing for more than a year. Whilst there, the colony of Whitewharf was attacked and conquered by the Veronis Tribunal. Takara summoned the governor, Hatamoto Alain Park, for an audience, but Park had been forcibly converted by the Justicars and launched a suicide attack using decadizing fungal particles to cause an explosion that killed Takara and many bystanders.
