102nd FLEET
The 102nd Fleet was developed from the Jade Ancerious Expedition, a group of 17 capital ships dispatched in 2484 AT to the Ancerious Galaxy. Upon arriving, they assisted in the colonisation of the Sanrin System and fought a skirmish with a UDE investigatory fleet, resulting in the death of Admiral Zhang Yu. With both sides taking losses the UDE retreated, and patrols from the Expeditionary Fleet began mapping out the nearby region, laying claim to nearby systems and establishing a mining and transport network.
In 2484 AT the IJN Young Red Dragon of the 102nd Fleet participated in the Battle of Dinok, allying with several other nations to defeat a Coronan raiding fleet. A detachment under Commodore Nighthorse was sent to the Varnel System to assist a multi-national strike force in fighting the rogue High Imperium warlord Alhergus, primarily to avenge the loss of the Old Silver Willow and Parity of Truth. The IJN contingent engaged stealth measures and was tasked with performing a flanking maneuver, but the overall action ended in a defeat for the combined fleets before the 102nd reached optimal strike position. Consequently the IJN contingent retreated from the system without disengaging its stealth measures. |

The IJN Volley Of Arrows of the 102nd was the first ship to respond to Princess Mariko Kuribayashi's emergency broadcast, arriving just in time to rescue her and her comrades from the pursuing Furrelian warship. The ensuing action was a significant propaganda victory for the Jade Empire and led to the signing of a non-aggression pact with the Furrelian Union, backed by a lien of one million SIGEC from each side to be held in trust by the Republic of Imaginarium.
Commodore Sato Leng and a quartet of vessels intervened in the Alarius Station Crisis, in which the Unaligned crew of a commercial mining station mutinied, killing their supervisors and security personnel before appealing to the Poleisic League for help. Necetor, Imaginese and CES forces responded to attempt to restore control, whilst Poleisic and Andracken ships arrived to support the mutiny. The IJN detachment arrived midway through the combat and was able to overwhelm the Andracken destroyer Are You Looking For A Fight, putting an end to the fighting, although the IJN Volley Of Arrows was damaged and forced to return to dock for repairs. The station was subsequently processed for salvage and then sunk.
