6TH REGIMENT
The 6th Horse Regiment has its roots in the First Age as the Tengoku Mechanized Regiment. The regiment was deployed to the Republic of Lazarus to defend against a large-scale invasion by the forces of the Imperium Romanum, participating in the Battle of Lazaria Hills and the subsequent campaign against the Imperium.
Early in the Second Age, the regiment fought as cavalry at the Kuntrian War. The Battle of Imperial City was marked by the use of the Stasis Field, a technology which negates gunpowder and high-energy technology. The 6th Regiment played a pivotal role in the battle, charging alongside the heavy dinosaur cavalry of Shogun Kuribayashi's personal retinue to shatter the initial enemy advance. The Tengoku Regiment fought at the Battle of Laos II against the Vong, storming the captured Forbidden City and assisting in the rout of the occupying Vong forces. The regiment was evacuated prior to the destruction of Laos II by enemy superweapon. The regiment was deployed to the mining system of Gaea for garrison duty, and during the Trathiran Revolt sealed the system, refusing to acknowledge Trathiran sovereignty or directives. During the Barlat-Laptev war, the unit was deployed in central Britannia to reinforce the allied forces at the Battle of York and helped to repel the the Jovepenian assault on the city. The regiment fought alongside the Order of the Watcher in the Keystone System Campaign against the Merger. During the Botas Reforms of 2486 AT, the regiment was renamed the Horse regiment as a reflection of the various species of equus found on the planet of Laptev and their use by pre-industrial cavalry formations. Its colours are tan and brown. PERSONNEL
