LEANDER MACSEOIN
BIOGRAPHYBorn on Neusattar in the former Kingdom of Sattar, he grew up in the midst of a radical restructuring of Sattran culture as it was absorbed into the Jade Empire of Ingen and experienced rapid technological advancement. Working as a local network jockey for a commuter station, he was fired in 2450 AT after making controversial comments about the World Directorate Agency, claiming that it had been controlled by the Jade Empire from its inception.

Moving to the Holonet, his podcast and video channels grew in popularity, some of his wilder claims going viral and entering popular culture. His most enduring claim, that the Goods Exchange Bombing by Ish'Cong terrorists in 2455 AT was a black flag operation by the JIAN, became a popular counter-culture catchphrase. The slogan "The Goods Exchange bombed itself" can be found on merchandise, memes, and hidden in media easter eggs to this day.
During the Barlat War he was investigated by the JIAN and briefly incarcerated after his show was deemed to be a threat to public safety. He was charged with being an agent in the employ of the Concordiat, but all charges were dropped before reaching trial.

Macseoin has been an outspoken critic of the Evacuation of FB-1 in 2466 AT, and at one point crowdfunded a mission to return to FB-1 and prove that it was not a barren wasteland as maintained by the Jade authorities. Launching a ship called The Fight For Knowledge, the expedition led by Macseoin ran into technical troubles outside the KJFK Nebula and was forced to return. Macseoin claimed this was an act of sabotage by the JIAN.
